Always used

• Sign-in: your session is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in between visits. Signing out clears it.
• Sign-in with Google or Apple: those providers may set their own cookies while you complete their sign-in screen.
• Your cookie choice: a single stored value remembering the answer you give below.

Optional visitor measurement

Fartbook can measure page visits using Google Analytics, a Google service, and only if you say yes. Analytics loads nothing, requests nothing and stores nothing before you accept; the app's own sign-in and preference storage above is separate and always used. Declining leaves Analytics off, and accepting or declining is equally easy: use the buttons below to change or withdraw your answer at any time. Google handles what it receives as described in Google's Privacy Policy and in how Google uses data from sites that use its services. Google's own extra automatic tracking (searches, form fills, outbound clicks, downloads) is switched off, as are advertising features and Google Signals.

When it is on, Fartbook measures a sanitised page visit from a short fixed list of public page names, a click on a signup button, and a confirmed email signup, with the referring page removed. Google also receives the standard technical and usage data its service collects, such as a pseudonymous cookie identifier, browser and device details, and a rough location worked out from your IP address. Your email address, date of birth, username, search terms, recordings and private page addresses are never sent.

Not used

No advertising, ad personalisation or cross-site tracking has been added to Fartbook.

Your browser can clear or block site storage. Blocking it means you'll be signed out and will need to sign in again to post, react or comment.
